Una bandera que flamea a medias

El domingo pasado, leyendo la excelente columna que Enrique Valiente Noailles escribe en el suplemento Enfoques de La Nación, pude conocer la historia de la canción de Coca Cola para el Mundial de Sudáfrica 2010.

Como explica el autor, la letra original de Waving Flag -el tema del artista somalí K´Naan elegido por la gaseosa para convertirse en el himno mundialista- fue modificada para cumplir con los parámetros del marketing global. Así, los párrafos que hacían referencia a la lucha y la tragedia africana fueron reemplazados por frases livianas y pegadizas. Sugiero leer el artículo completo, titulado Una canción silenciada.
